Greenways @ The Cook and The Gardener

The main homestead is a grand old Victorian lady built in 1906. In 2005 we a converted the attic into
two spacious en-suite bedrooms
for guest accommodation and called it 'Greenways'. The rooms have a lovely open, airy feeling and can be used either as double or twin-bedded accommodation.

01 01A characterful wooden staircase leads up from the garden to
a timber balcony with beautiful views over the surrounding horse paddocks and village, with Kasteelberg as
a benevolent backdrop.
The rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with quality linen and towels. Both have open-plan bathrooms with showers. Coffee and Tea making facilities are provided.

A verdant Oasis

02The beautifully tended Gardens is Anne's pride and joy and her love for all things green is a pleasure to behold. Behind a private gate, separating it from the Restaurant, is a verdant oasis at the disposal of resident guests.
An inviting rock pool provides the ideal spot to enjoy hot valley sumemr days and forget about the rat race.

Breakfast

02Breakfast for our resident guests is currently served in the Main House.
You decide basically between a choice of menus when you check in . . . and the time you wish it to be served.

All start with fruit and juice and end with a choice of teas, coffee or hot chocolate.

Heartily Healthy. Muesli, yoghurt & honey, wholewheat toast . . . .
Wholeheartedly Unhealthy. Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato & toast . .
Spoiling. Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs and toast.

The restaurant is also very happy to welcome Bikers, Car clubs and such for breakfast or luncheon as long as reservations are made well in advance and deposits paid – 50% is the norm

Non-resident guests are requested to make reservations should they like the sound of what we offer.
